Juniata Concrete Co. is a family-owned business founded in 1960 by John E. Groninger, a Juniata County native. It began in Mifflintown, PA when John purchased Quigley Concrete and renamed it Juniata Concrete Company. In 1963, the company purchased Leach Concrete and expanded into Perry County. It was not until 1990 that John decided to expand once again to Mifflin County when he bought Kline Concrete to aide his construction company, John E. Groninger, Inc. in building affordable housing in Mifflin County. Since becoming a State-Approved Concrete Supplier in 1960, Juniata Concrete has had as many as 35 mixer trucks and poured every bridge from Amity Hall in Perry County to above Lewistown Hospital in Mifflin County. The largest project being the Lewistown Narrows project which was in excess of $100 million for the entire project. As in the past, Juniata Concrete continues to provide a quality product and service to our surrounding counties no matter how big or small the project may be.
